Fresh Bi-Weekly Whole Wheat Bread

For the last 3-4 year I have been making all our loaves of bread. My husband's grandma gave us her little loaf pans which produce the perfect size loaf for a family of two that lasts a week. With one batch of bread we have one fresh loaf and then one to freeze for a week. It works great for us. Sometimes it is hard to let the fresh loaf even cool before I have eaten half of it with a smidgen of butter.

Autumn Chowder

As you have probably noticed the trend, this was my first attempt at, and probably my first time at ever having Chowder. It was so good. The bacon topping is a delicious and savory touch. The starchy root vegetables added to the creamy base of the soup. This is most certainly a repeatable recipe. The dinner roll was also made fresh.

Hybrid Cookie

When you can't decide between two cookies... why not have both?

First Home Made Pie

We had some delicious peaches from our trip to BC so a peach pie was in order. I decided that I should try and do everything from scratch. This is a whole wheat & spelt crust. I didn't have a leaf cookie cutter, but thought snowflakes were equally nice.

Home Made Ice Cream

I bought a used ice cream maker as a late birthday present for myself.
Some of the flavours I made:
- raspberry
- chocolate espresso
- vanilla with Mini Eggs (not as good as you would have thought as the chocolate doesn't taste good chilled)
- London Fog (Earl Gray & Vanilla)
- Vanilla

My First Bubble Tea

A coworker and I walked to China Town for my first Bubble Tea experience. The old me couldn't stand the idea of a giant blob of goo being sucked up in a straw, but the new me is willing to try almost anything. So off we went.

I do believe we visited Try Again Beverage House, where I was pleasantly surprised. Mmm raspberry!
